A combed cotton knit set that opens at the front
A two-piece knitted baby set in combed cotton: a button-front cardigan and matching long trousers. The cardigan fastens with a single row of buttons and has a plain round neck, so it goes on without pulling anything over the head - which matters for a baby who dislikes that.
The knit is a single-layer combed cotton at medium weight - a three-season piece, worn on its own in mild spring and autumn weather and layered over a bodysuit or under a coat when it turns cold.

Fabric and safety
Combed cotton is spun from longer, aligned fibres, giving a smoother surface, less fuzz and better wash durability than standard cotton at the same weight.
The set is graded safety class A - the strictest of the three textile safety grades and the one required for clothing worn by infants under three. It sets tighter limits on formaldehyde, pH and colour fastness than the grades applied to older children's and adult clothing.
Size guide
Measurements are taken flat, in centimetres, and may vary by 1-3cm between batches. Chest is a flat half-measurement, so the full circumference is double the figure shown.

Flat measurements for size 100 have not been published by the maker. Contact us before ordering that size and we will confirm them.
Fit notes
The size number is the child's height in centimetres, so size 80 is cut for a child of around 80cm rather than a set age. Height is the more reliable guide here.
The set is cut close to the body rather than oversized. If your child is between two sizes, or you want room to layer underneath, take the larger size. The cardigan can be worn open or buttoned. The trouser waistband stretches over a nappy and the cuffs turn up on smaller sizes.
Styling
The cardigan works over a plain bodysuit or long-sleeve top, and the trousers pair just as easily with a different top once the set is outgrown. Add knitted booties and a cotton hat for pram walks. All three colourways are plain, and the beige works as a neutral against almost anything.
Care
- Hand wash below 30°C, light and dark colours separately
- Fasten the buttons before washing to stop the placket stretching
- Dry flat and reshape while damp - do not wring or twist
- Dry away from direct sunlight; do not soak for long periods
- Loose cotton fibres on a new garment rinse away in the first wash
- Light pilling is normal on knitted cotton - lift pills with a fabric shaver
