A soft brown bear dressed as a chef, complete with hat. At roughly 45cm it is a substantial bear - the kind that gets a name within a day and then never leaves. The outfit is what makes it: a plain teddy is a plain teddy, but one with a job is a character.

The fur is a short, dense curly pile that holds its shape rather than matting down, and the face is embroidered, so there is nothing on it to work loose.

Fabric and filling

Polyester plush in a curly short pile - the finish used on classic teddies because it keeps its texture through years of being dragged around. The filling is polypropylene fibre, light for its volume and quick to spring back into shape.

Measurements are approximate. Soft toys vary slightly depending on how the filling settles.

Big enough for a bed or a nursery chair, and the chef theme makes it an easy gift for a family that cooks together or a child in a kitchen-play phase.

Care

• Surface wash with a damp cloth and mild detergent
• Air dry away from direct heat and sunlight
• Do not bleach or tumble dry
• Brush the pile gently with a soft brush if it flattens

Safety

For supervised play. Keep soft items out of the cot while a baby is sleeping unattended, in line with Lullaby Trust safer sleep guidance. Check the seams from time to time and stop using it if anything works loose.
